Writing an Intention Statement for Your Fall Business Goals

This past week, I brought the DASHA® team 25 small boxes of fresh homemade apple cider donuts from the Hamptons to make them smile, remind them how much we appreciate their time, talent and contribution, and keep morale up as we get ready to blaze into the fall.  And while I will be enjoying the last week of quality summer time in August with my husband (BFF) and kids before they head back-to-school in September, I am using this rest and relaxation time to mentally prepare for the fall and what we want to accomplish at DASHA®.

In this day and age, when it comes to business, because we’re always in touch with technology, it’s hard to “turn it off.”  It’s important to take a step back, for your own mental health, so you can see things more clearly and come back fresh.  As you go for that long walk or bike ride or play in the ocean waves with your family, begin to think about your fall business intention statement.  You don’t have to broadcast it on social media, email it, or take out a bulletin board.

Use the K.I.S.S method.  Keep it short and simple while setting clear goals.  Write it down, share it with your partner or best friend or teammate if you like.  Place it somewhere as reminder, such as your desktop computer or screensaver to help remind you, and inform your actions.  Think of it as your quarterly mission.  My intention statement will be focused on completing our Flagship renovation and honing our brand to continue to expand DASHA® services to the Greater Metropolitan area, because nothing brings me greater satisfaction than knowing we have helped people as they learn how to take care of their wellness and lead healthier, happier lives.

When you wake up on December 31st this year, what do you want to be most proud of having accomplished in your business?  Now is the time to start, and nothing is more powerful than putting it in writing for yourself.
