It’s Never Too Early to Start Preparing For the Summer

Sunny days, clear blue skies and beach breezes might seem far away, but it’s not too early to start prepping your body, mind and bank account for summer. Break out of the bondage the winter has put you in and maintain your health, save money and stay positive so you won’t have to start the re-adjustment process when summer is a night away.  

CUT OUT THE EXTRAS 

Now is the time to skip those “just one more” pieces of chocolate and drinks, as well as unnecessary expenses because when summer nights roll around, it won’t be easy to say no. At the beginning of every week, decide which days you’ll work out and what you’ll do and shop for healthy foods. Say no to impulses! 

GET UP EARLY 

It can be tasking to get out of bed in the morning, much less actually exercise during the winter. The changing weather conditions affect more than your routine outdoor activities—It actually disrupts some of your body’s natural processes, which is why you may want to sleep excessively during this time of year. 

But if you don’t want waking up to continue to be a herculean task when summer comes, you need get into the habit now, as hard as it may be.  

STAY POSITIVE 

When it’s cold outside, we want to hide inside and cancel plans. Now is the time to keep a positive and open mind and not allow the weather to control you.  

Stimulate your mind by listening to uplifting music, reading encouraging books and watching videos that teach you something. Soon, you’ll be raring to get out and live your life.
