Acupuncture treatment at DASHA®

         Acupuncture treatment at DASHA®

Acupuncture promotes relaxation and a return to body and mind balance. Believed to have been developed in China, acupuncture consists of inserting fine needles on the body surface to impact the body’s physiological function.

DASHA®s “independent client providers” are licensed practitioners who perform acupuncture, acupressure, and other alternative medicine techniques, such as moxibustion and cupping.

To gain an understanding of how best to treat you and not just your symptoms, your acupuncturist will ask you questions regarding your lifestyle, emotions, sleeping patterns, eating habits, and medical history, as well as conduct a thorough examination to assess the overall functioning of your body.

Treatment needles are typically placed on the body for approximately 15-30 minutes. Depending on your condition, treatments may include heat therapy, herbal prescriptions, nutritional supplements, and diet and lifestyle advice.

Acupuncture needles are FDA-approved medical devices, very thin and easily inserted with little or no discomfort. The most commonly described sensation is a light pinch. DASHA® practices “Clean Needle Technique,” in which all needles are sterile, single-use, and properly disposed of after treatment. Acupuncture has no significant negative side effects and is a safe and effective medicine.

Acupuncture For Stress Acupuncture points are chosen based on your imbalances, and followed by a relaxing massage.

Acupuncture For Pain Many clients use acupuncture to treat back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and headaches, as well as pain associated with chronic lower back pain and even osteoarthritis. If you are experiencing chronic pain, headaches, or even migraines, acupuncture may be beneficial.

Acupuncture For Fertility Stress impacts the body in many ways and can be a significant factor in infertility. Acupuncture counteracts the effects of stress by increasing blood flow to the uterus. This treatment can be used independently, or in conjunction with fertility treatments.

Auricular Therapy This treatment reduces cravings, curbs appetite, and treats addictions. By inserting tiny needles at acupuncture points in the ear. Herbal ear seeds may also be used to maintain acupuncture benefits between treatments.

Electrotherapy Acupuncture An Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim) Machine stimulates acupuncture needles placed at various points in the body. This therapy increases blood flow to the area, strengthens and relaxes muscles, and enhances the effects of a typical Acupuncture treatment.

Cupping  Treatment Cupping warms the body and moves energy and blood in the meridians as it breaks up stagnation that may be present within the body. A partial vacuum is created with plastic sliding cups to relieve local congestion. Cupping loosens tight muscles and may be used to treat recurring bronchitis, muscular pain, bone pain, and spasms, particularly in the back and the shoulders.

Facial Rejuvenation Treatment Facial Rejuvenation can be an alternative to plastic surgery or Botox. It increases collagen production, and strengthens muscle tone and dermal contraction by reducing bags underneath the eyes as well as fine lines and wrinkles, and improving hormonal imbalance and hormone-based skin conditions. Facial rejuvenation diminishes puffiness by improving metabolism and eliminating excess fluids.

*If you bruise easily, have high blood pressure, migraines, diabetes, AIDS, coronary disease, suffer from seizures, dizziness or tinnitus, may be pregnant, have sunburn, a cold or a herpes outbreak, facial rejuvenation acupuncture is not recommended.
