Studio Spotlight: The BodyWork Gym Mykonos

Workout Type: Bodybuilding, Functional Training, TRX Training, Cross Fit, Classes (Pilates), Free Weights, Kettle Bell, Treadmill, Cycling

Location: Vrissi 84600, Mykonos, Greece

Cost: 11 € for a day pass, 30 € for 3 days

What to Expect: The BodyWork Gym was the perfect gym for my trip to Greece. It sort of reminded me of the Powerhouse Gym (my first job!) on Long Island. If you understand how to exercise properly and need no guidance this spot will certainly do the trick! I loved that this gym was family run and has been around for thirty years. The women in the family RUN this gym! Every business has a story and you might just find that when you ask about it, you will be more interested in it.

SHA’s Tip: It’s important to exercise properly by maintaining your form to prevent injury. First timers at this gym should have their routine in hand so they can easily navigate through this busy facility. Heads up, water and towels are not included in the daily price, so bring a little cash just in case. If you’re driving to get there, parking is available. Sign up a week in advance for the Pilates class as it gets sold out quickly during high season (that’s May-Sept).
