When to Ignore the Chatter in Your Head

Let’s talk about the chatter we hear in our heads throughout the day. Sometimes we can talk ourselves into action and sometimes we can stop ourselves from taking action.

Imagine you’re getting hitched in the next six months. You have committed to an exercise routine so that you can comfortably get into that gown. You’ve signed up for a HIIT class tonight, but it’s a cold night and your couch looks so inviting. To top it off, your man just walked in with mouth-watering chocolate chip cookies. That little voice inside your head starts talking to you and says, “Maybe I’ll just skip this one class”.

The truth is, you will feel like s**t if you miss that class and that annoying voice in your head will be torturing you for days to come about it. Plus, that cookie would have been waiting for you after your sweat sesh.

The moral of the story is to stick to the course and ignore the voices that encourage you to veer off the path.
