Here’s the Secret to Good Parenting – No Really

Listen up, mamas: I see you. Sometimes, it might feel as if nobody does. Maybe your hubby complains how long his day was as he sits on the couch while you wrangle some free-range puree into your baby’s mouth with one hand and desperately attempt to coax a pea into your preschooler’s mouth with another. Maybe you’re running from daycare drop-offs to meetings or answering emails in the middle of parent-teacher conferences.

What you need is a little self-care. I don’t mean taking a five-minute shower while your toddler pulls on the shower curtain or plays a game of peek-a-boo. I don’t mean applying a face mask at night only to have one of your kids wake from sleep and start crying when they see your charcoal-covered face trying to comfort them.

What I mean is letting someone coax out those knots, that tension and soreness you’ve been accumulating by holding your kids on your hips and kicking butt in life. I mean a nice, juicy massage. Have a spouse, partner or babysitter handy so you can come home afterwards and take a nap.

Your family needs you, and you need a massage. Better yet, you deserve a bunch of them. That’s why at DASHA, they’re buy three, get one free. Reward yourself for the hard work and healthy choices you make each day. And if that’s not enough, I’m including a special discount for your partner to use!
