It’s only a few days away from the big game, the 2017 Superbowl, where the Atlanta Falcons will take on the New England Patriots at the NRG Stadium in Texas. No matter what team you’re rooting for this year, game day is always fun and filled with delicious eats and drinks. This year, whether you’re hosting a viewing party, or headed somewhere else, you don’t have to ditch all of the hard work you’ve done during the week.

We’ve pulled together some of our healthy, but still yummy appetizers to keep you on track with your wellness journey without having to sacrifice taste!

  1. Greek Yogurt Spinach Dip: What’s a party without a dip?! Instead of the traditional onion dip, try this creamy and flavorful dip made with Greek yogurt.
    1. Ingredients:
      1. 1 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt
      2. ½ cup of fresh or frozen spinach
      3. ¼ cup pesto
    2. Directions:
      1. Mix all ingredients together
      2. Cut up fresh veggies like peppers, cucumbers, carrots and broccoli and serve alongside for dipping
  1. Avocado Fries: Instead of fries, try this baked alternative!
    1. Ingredients:
      1. 3-5 avocados
      2. 2 eggs
      3. 1 cup flour
      4. Panko breadcrumbs
      5. Olive oil
    2. Directions:
      1. Preheat oven to 350°
      2. Slice avocados into long slivers
      3. In one bowl, place the cup of flour
      4. In a separate bowl, scramble 2 eggs
      5. In a third bowl, fill with panko breadcrumbs
      6. Take each slice of avocado through the following steps:
        1. Dredge in flour
        2. Dip in scrambled eggs
        3. Coat in panko breadcrumbs
        4. Place on cookie sheet
      7. After all avocado slices are placed on the cookie sheet, drizzle olive oil across the top
      8. Place into oven at 350° and bake until golden brown
