You know the old saying, “you are what you eat”? I don’t think that saying only applies to the food you eat, but also to what feeds your soul. So cut the nonsense and start making some healthy choices! Everything in your life is a reflection of choices you make.  

As an entrepreneur, mom and whatever else I may become, I know that eating isn’t just about satisfying your hunger. Your brain is constantly being challenged and has nutritional demands, too.  

Have you ever worked so hard and felt like you were fired up? The reason is because your body produces lots of oxidants in the brain when you’re concentrating intently on something. Foods that are high in antioxidants, like berries, almonds, beans, green apples and tea will thus act like flame retardants.  

Give up the fries and fatty foods and you will immediately see a boost in productivity. After doing this, go back a week later and try eating it again and see what happens. You will most likely feel sleepy and irritable, like a grownup trapped in a child’s body. 

Coffee depletes serotonin which provides a sense of well-being. If your stomach is on empty and you drink an iced coffee it will shoot into your bloodstream quickly, leading you to feel anxious and stressed.  

So here’s the deal, break out of those old habits and usher in the new!
