HOW DASHA CAN HELP THEM
We can help you build strength without "bulking up” while gaining sleek, lean muscles and flexibility. Depending on what you are interested we will customize a program to strengthen "core" abdominal muscles uniformly so that they support and balance your spine in order to maintain good posture. Pilates results will boost confidence and motivate you to perform other activities with a healthier and balanced lifestyle.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT
A DASHA Pilates instructor will take you through a personal evaluation and body assessment. Our instructor will explain to you exactly what you will be focusing. Modifications to the exercises will range from beginning to advanced. DASHA will create the workout that best suits you now, and increase the intensity as your body conditioning improves.
HOW MANY WEEKS
Depending on your workout routine, Pilate’s is safe to perform at least 2x a week
Mat Pilates
Mat work uses the resistance and strength of your own body. Mat Pilates practice is one of the best ways to maintain a healthy back & joint mobility. Pilates clients realize improved flexibility, coordination, and balance; more balanced, streamlined muscles; fewer injuries; a more proportional distribution of body and weight; and increased height. It’s just you and your body. This resistance is non-weight-bearing, so you are limiting the possibility of injury. The equipment may allow you to take the mat work a step further and may even help you to develop musculature faster.
Teague Pilates Reformer –Cadillac Combo
Reformer workouts are a form of resistance training with a machine. This is the ultimate workhorse and looks like a BED! This equipment is specifically designed for the movement; it accentuates all the resistance-oriented exercises that you’re doing, making you work against even more. You are working with springs or pulleys that provide actual resistance. The Reformer can be used to correct postural imbalances, scoliosis, postpartum abdominal weakness, or post rehabilitation from an injury.
